The American Society of Abdominal Surgeons Annual Clinical Congress held its 55th annual meeting in Tampa, Florida on November 4thaand 5th, 2016. Day 1 of the meeting was held at Florida Hospital Tampa. Participants were able to view a live feed of a robotic distal pancreatectomy and a single incision cholecystectomy with epidural anesthesia. A number of surgeons were able to go to the operating room and view the live feed from our state of the art observation deck.

Presentations and Case Studies were given by Drs. Ross, Sucandy and Rosemurgy. The day finished with a task training course which included an interactive video session, robotic simulation and a demonstration of the Tif (Transoral incisionless fundoplication).

We want to thank the members and executive committee of the Abdominal Surgeons Society, as well as EndoGastric Solutions and Intuitive for their support during the task training session.
