The Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons 2017 Annual Meeting was held in Houston, Texas from March 22-25. Dr. Ross presented two abstracts about the perceptions of Women in Surgery. Her presentation focused on how nurses and male surgeons view women pursuing a career in Surgery. As the Founder and Director of the International Women In Surgery Career Symposium, Dr. Ross is very adamant on advocating women to enter Surgery. Also, Dr. Ross presented a surgical video on our technique for Laparo-Endoscopic Single Site (LESS) Hiatal Hernia Reduction with Nissen Fundoplication.
